This policy explains how Pool Ventures Ltd. collects, uses, and protects your data, in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
Account details (name, email, phone), KYC data needed to verify your identity, and transaction records. Your government ID number is never stored in full — only a salted, irreversible hash and the last four digits, used to confirm uniqueness.
On Sector 2 (county pools), your public participation is pseudonymous: the transparency ledger and dispute pages show a stable handle, never your real name, and on-chain contributions are recorded against a hashed reference — not your phone number.
To operate the platform, verify identity, process M-Pesa payments, comply with CMA/CBK obligations, and keep an audit trail of sensitive actions. We do not sell your personal data.
We share data only with service providers needed to run PoolVen (e.g. Safaricom Daraja for payments, our identity-verification partner) and where required by law or a regulator.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements. Contact privacy@poolven.co.ke.
